erin has lots of graduation cards
I noticed a few seconds ago that all the letters in my first name are typed with my right hand. I know this is a useless fact, but I thought it was semi-interesting.
I’m in Norman for a day or two visiting Erin. Right now she’s in her bathroom fixing her hair, so I figured I have at least 3 hours before we head off to dinner and Al’s. I haven’t ever been to Al’s, but I’ve heard a lot about it. I’m sure it will be fun, because anything with Erin is always fun. She’s a great friend.
I spent Sunday at Kylie’s lake house with her family, my family, the Nobile’s, and Chris (Kylie’s boyfriend). It is great to see Kylie so happy about someone, and to see someone who obviously cares about her. I have felt really quiet lately, which resulted in sarcastic jokes about me “talking my head off”. I really don’t know why, but I feel like I’m in a silent stage. I don’t think it’s that I have nothing to say, because I’m always thinking about something. Maybe it’s just that the things I care about right now aren’t things most people care about. I don’t want to sit and talk about the kids in my class all day, because I feel like I’ll bore people. My mom loves hearing the stories, and so does Jason, so I guess I have my outlets there.
I have been meaning to post pictures of Craig’s new dog, Merle, but I haven’t thought about it when I am at my own computer. When I get home I will. He’s a very lovable dog, the kind that makes me want a dog of my own. I talked to my mom a little bit about it, and I might get one in January or February. I need to think about what kind I want to get. Big, small, hairy, cuddly, crazy, whatever. I also need to come up with the perfect name, which I’m sure will be easier after I meet the dog. I think I’m going to save Napoleon for when I’m an old widow and all I work in my garden a lot. Bulldogs like to sit and watch people.
Lately I’ve been thinking about getting a job for a few days a week where I can interact with more people my age. Right now the only people I see are kids, and although I love it, I would like to be around more people. Kaffe Bona would be nice, or Barnes and Noble. We’ll see what happens with that. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
Alright time to go decide what’s for dinner.
I just returned from Lawrence where I saw Kylie graduate from KU. It was great to get to see her do that, and to hear about her plans of running away to D.C. and becoming a politician. I really hope everything goes great in her life. I know I’d vote for her if she ever ran for anything.
